Amadey MKS computer was marked as “Editor’s choice” by hi-Tech PRO magazine

Amadey Sonata 44116TS MKS computer was marked by “Editor’s choice” certificate after testing native assembled PCs in laboratory of hi-Tech PRO magazine.

In the end of 2007 hi-Tech magazine’s editorship held testing of Ukraine-assembled personal computers of the average price bracket made by nine leading native PC manufacturers.

The research was held by comparing the technical characteristics of system units and testing in four aspects: game potential, multimedia potential, office potential, equipment and delivery kit

Game potential

The editorship of hi-Tech PRO estimated the game potential of PCs according to the results of FTP indexes measuring for Doom 3, The Chronicles of Riddick, and F.E.A.R games. The measuring was conducted in two dimensions 11024x786 and 1280x1024 with the maximum quality options and ÀÀ-4 and AF-8 switched on. To estimate system’s productivity in three-dimensional and game applications 3DMark’01, 3DMark’03, 3DMark’05, 3DMark’06 synthetic tests were used.

Multimedia potential

While estimating these category, hi-Tech PRO editorship used specially scripted applications to convert audio- and video-content, generate DVD-content. The speed of processing graphic images in Photoshop CS2 and the speed of generating content in Macromedia Flash were then estimated. The quality of the installed optical drive was also estimated. Additional points in this category the computers scored if digital audio-out, HDMI-connector, card-reader and FireWire ports were available.

Office potential

Office potential esteem was conducted according to results of tests fulfilment by the computer system. They included calculation and fulfilment speed of some of MS Excel and Access formulas, the speed of archiving certain value of data using WinRAR and 7Zip and the speed of copying large data amounts. To hold the measuring PCMark’04, PCMark’05, Science Mark 2 and SysMark 2004 synthetic tests were used.

Equipment and delivery kit

In this category the engineers of hi-Tech PRO estimated computer system equipment, availability of various extended ports, quality of assembly, presence of additional fans and air ducts. Bonus points were scored for including keyboard and mouse to the delivery kit, and also for enclosed with computer licensed software.

Amadey Sonata 44116TS has one of the highest technical characteristics among the PCs of this category, MKS computer showed the best results of the tests, which gave it chance to get “Editor’s choice” status.
